I have this special place on my list that everyone should check out. I’ve been to far-off Cuba, traveled all around North America, explored most of Asia, and visited the UK and Ireland. But, surprisingly, mainland Europe hasn’t been on my travel map yet. I think it’s enchanting in every season, even winter! I’m not a fan of the cold, blame it on the Australian in me. Our family loves places full of art, culture, architecture, food, and history. As I write this, it’s funny how I wonder why we haven’t been there yet. Our 5-year-old is quite the skier, but waiting another year or so would probably be more helpful. We’re aiming for an earlier-than-usual spring break, or else we might need to take the kids out of school for a few days.

While exploring Europe with my family, I’ve noticed that my bucket list keeps expanding! It grows with every new place I read about, where friends travel, and destinations I want to take my girls to it just keeps getting bigger each year. Surprisingly, we’ve never been to Hawaii, with or without the kids. I love the idea that it’s part of the US but still exotic. Perhaps when we visit, we can add on some other bucket list places like Japan and Bangkok, lol.

Immerse in culture through food and activities, experience a Luau, explore beautiful beaches, and continue sharing diverse cultures with my girls around the world.

In 2019, my in-laws are marking their 50th wedding anniversary in Hawaii. We’re budgeting and saving airline miles to bring our whole crew along, and fingers crossed, we might even explore some destinations in the far East.
